OKSTE is one of the State's largest technology conferences. In October, Mrs. Crissup and Mrs. Dayton spent 2 days listening to presenters, meeting with vendors and collaborating with other technology teachers from around the state. While at the conference Mrs. Dayton was awarded a 1 year license for a typing program called Typing Agent. She began using this program with the 2nd graders when they returned to school after Christmas break. The students are being taught basic components of keyboarding and focusing on proper finger placement on the keys. Almost all of the students in a months time have moved on from the home row keys and are increasing their accuracy and speed with each day.
